 Another erupting volcano in 2025 is Lewotobi Laki-Laki. This Indonesian volcano has been erupting since the end of 2023. The most recent eruption was on July 7, 2025. It was a massive explosion. Authorities observed an 18,000-m ash column from the mountain’s crater.

Moreover, they heard a thunderous boom when this volcano exploded. According to the data, this explosion caused ash and pebble rains in several villages around the volcano.

After the eruption, authorities raised the alert status of Lewotobi Volcano to Level IV. Moreover, they prohibit people from getting near the volcanic hazard zone, which is within a 6 to 7 km radius of the crater.
